To us, an album is a purchase that matters. A personal treasure about a special moment in time. To enjoy, to share and to pass on. But in a changing world we understand that not everyone wants a grand album, and that for many of us our tastes and lifestyles have moved towards “smaller is better”. That’s why we’ve been focusing on how our product range can accommodate this trend ... and re-imagining our Portrait Album. We've taken the good parts of that range (streamlined workflow, simple unbundled offering, competitive pricing, fast delivery) and brought new ideas to the To View More >>

Our new Designer Album Box is the perfect way to present your albums. Order it as an optional extra in place of our standard presentation boxes and/or bags. Here are the details: How do I order? On the second page of the album set-up menu in Workspace you'll be asked how you want to present the album. Select Designer Album Box and the material colour. You can order the box plain or with an embossing — either Companion embossing (same as on the album) or Studio embossing.  What materials and colours are available? Our new boxes are available To View More >>

Even with digital images and online galleries everywhere, the most impressive way to show off your work is with a printed portfolio. A printed book shows more than your photography skills. It expresses your design abilities, your taste in materials and your high standards as an artist. If you're thinking about creating your own portfolio, here are some ideas to get you started. They're not like wedding and portrait albums Sample albums normally mimic what you want to sell. They show prospective clients what to expect, and help them visualise their To View More >>

Elisha and Abby are the photography and film duo at Woodlands Creative, and to put it simply, they love capturing love!  We saw this lovely album as it went through the Queensberry bindery, a 12x12 Panorama Flushmount album with silver halide printing and a cover of Bronze Metallic Faux Leather with Bank Gothic embossing. "Rather than just showing up on the day," Elisha and Abby say, "it's important to connect and build a trusting friendship with couples to be able to show how amazing their unique love story is!" Based on the Central Coast of NSW, they To View More >>

It's been a few months since we partnered with Lola Photography to support Aqua Frizzante, an exhibition celebrating a love of water, movement, texture and light. We loved it so much, we turned it into a Flushmount Album! This is a 10x10 Flushmount Album, with Tintoretto printing and a Midnight, Distressed Faux Leather cover. Flushmounts are simple and affordable, and ideal for portfolios and short-run photobooks. Contact us about your custom project ideas. We caught up with two of the design team,  Simon and Rachel, to talk all things album design. Here are their top four tips for creating beautiful, clean layouts. Less is more Rachel: Unclutter your design. It’s simple. Let the key images and high quality materials of an album speak for themselves. If you notice the design, it’s taking precedence over the images – good design is effortless. Simon: If the design is loaded with images the hero shots can be lost among a forest of images. By keeping the image selection minimal, you’ll free up space and make the rest To View More >>

As told to Cate Scaglione In the photography world they’re sometimes referred to as the Texas Royalty for their dramatic aesthetic, their long-term success and their A List clientele … but spend five minutes with David and Luke Edmonson and you’ll discover they are anything but elitist. I was fortunate enough to spend time with Luke, who generously revealed the Edmonson sales ethos. With over $100k in album sales alone, their rather emotionally charged sales approach might come as a surprise, often counterintuitive to our industry’s professed sales strategies. To View More >>

Will your 2015 album sales predict how well you do next year? Many photographers struggle with album sales, and David and Luke Edmonson freely admit they've struggled too … but not any more. Their 2015 WPPI Masterclass, sponsored by Queensberry, is about the tremendous impact that selling albums can have on your bottom line. We’re running a survey to support them with up-to-the-minute data about how well photographers are doing with album sales, and what’s standing in the way of them doing even better. Betsy and Mark wed in the heart of Toronto, Canada at The Drake Hotel. Their photographer Christine (From Christine Lim Photography), said it was "Such a fun + heartfilled event. I couldn’t have asked to be a part of anything more genuine and, well FUN!" Betsy and Mark chose a 14x10H Duo. Christine has kept the design of this album consistent and timeless. (And it is always nice to see full bleed images!) These rooftop photographs are a lovely selection - and what a lovely Mother Daughter moment. All Duo images are printed on photographic paper using To View More >>
